Hi its Gary O’Toole here with Sociocaster! I am pleased to say that I am moving into a new work space, which will be home to my agency One Versus Zero Digital for the next few months! I am excited because the space is in the heart of London’s Tech City in Shoreditch , just a few minutes away from the Iconic Old Street (Silicon) Roundabout. It is an incredibly vibrant area, with a lot going on in both the tech and creative industries. I am really looking forward to taking things to the next level and getting out there networking with some of the brightest people in the digital space!

What Is Email Marketing?

Email is still the number #1 digital marketing method as when someone reads your email they are not distracted with all the noise that you get on social media. Email is a very personal way to contact someone and it is proven that if you can write headlines that compel the recipient to open it and you have an offer that is relevant to them – your conversion rates will be high.

Many business owners, brands and solopreneurs put off email marketing because they think that it will incur a high cost! This should never be the case as there are many great services that let you get started either building a list or importing an existing one for free.

All of these services below are great but for those looking for a quick an easy solution that lets you use templates to rapidly create aesthetically pleasing, branded emails – I highly recommend Mailchimp.

10 Tools And Resources To Create Stunning Social Media Images




Hi its Gary O’Toole  here with Sociocaster. We have spent a lot of time looking at content marketing recently so I thought I would do something a little different today and give you my top 20 list of tools and resources that I use to create stunning visual content for myself and for clients.

Images are great because using these tools and resources they are quick and simple to create and they create huge engagement with your audience.  If your not creating and sharing images – you are missing out big time, don’t take my word for it, check out these statistics:

  • Content with relevant images gets 94% more views than content without relevant images.(Source)

  • 73% of content creators plan to prioritize creating more engaging content in 2016, and 55% plan to prioritize creating visual content. (Source)

  • 65% of senior marketing executives believe that visual assets (photos, video, illustrations and infographics) are core to how their brand story is communicated. (Source)

  • When people hear information, they’re likely to remember only 10% of that information three days later. However, if a relevant image is paired with that same information, people retained 65% of the information three days later. (Source)

Understanding Social Media For Content Marketing

Hi I am Gary O’Toole with Sociocaster and in today’s blog we have reached the final part in our 4 part (8,000 Word Epic)  “Content Marketing 101” series. So far we have looked at:

From experience I have found this is often the hardest part for business owners to digest and comprehend, just how does a blog post lead to generating a warm targeted lead ? As I have mentioned before content marketing is not an overnight silver bullet that is going to generate sales overnight – if your looking for a “quick fix” then I suggest you look solely at paid advertising (Facebook Ad’s – read about that here). Content marketing is for smart business owners who are looking for a long term strategy and who the time, patience and resources to see it through.
